Rush Limbaugh recently told his large and loving radio audience that he is losing his battle with lung cancer and that his days are numbered.
Upon hearing that Limbaugh had been diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer this past February, I feared that that battle might already be lost. Stage IV indicates that multiple metastases have occurred, that the malignant cancer horse has left the barn big-time.
While chemotherapy does target cancer cells throughout the body, the chemo for Stage IV lung cancer is brutal and gradually becomes a danger in its own right. The average survival time after diagnosis is less than a year.
Rush knew all this. He's a smart man and undoubtedly sought out the best doctors and hospitals. Plus the best oncologists have a way of getting right to the point. So Rush knew.
He faced a dilemma that many before him have faced: what do I do with my remaining days?

It’s so sad I think about it all the time. Losing Rush is going to be way worse than losing Andrew Breitbart.
I always liked Andrew Wilkow but he is probably more like a young Mark Levin than Rush.
Prayers for Rush that the tumors disappear in Jesus’s name, amen.
I believe he has single handedly kept America from falling into the abyss of socialism over the last couple of decades.
He dedicated his life to inspiring generations on being the best they can be, educated Americans on the greatness of the country and the threats the Left brings to it, and was the tip of the spear and wore the scars for fighting the Left for decades. He was also a reassuring voice in times of darkness. Basically he kept America intact as Reagan left, he broke the corrupt news media stronghold by his voice which was later aided via the internet, and turned it over to President Trump. Which makes him an all time Founding Father grade American hero we can’t truly repay.
We should all brace ourselves for the horribly disgusting display that the Left is sure to put on the day Rush goes to that great EIB Studio in the Sky. It will be stomach-turning for sure.
Mark Steyn should pick up the torch. He is the only substitute host who inspires conservatives to carry on.
Truly sad. I have been a Rush can since his very 1st book and 1/2 hour late nite TV show.
God’s speed and grace, Rush!!
Love Mark Steyn.
My friend, Robert Sutton (retired Chief, Army MARS), was diagnosed the last week September with stage 4 lung cancer. They found it because it had spread to his brain (confused) and lymph nodes. He passed on 19 Oct, three weeks from diagnosis.
We sad to lose him but are glad that he didn’t have to suffer long.
Not to be morbid, but I hope he lives to well past the election to see Trump re-elected and sworn in. Rush had a large hand in Trump’s presidency.
I am thanking the Great Physician in faith for healing you. I have lost key loved ones to cancer & totally respect your outlook.
(((HUGS)))
