I’m back. The dermatologist took a couple of things off my back and said they’ll let me know in a week. They weren’t OMG things, just, “That’s a little funny ...,” things. And charged me $50.
And a letter from my GP’s office said one of my liver enzymes is slightly elevated, come back in three months to give them my blood again.
I had an elevated liver enzyme once when applying for life insurance. I went to an MD and he said that was one of those tests they really shouldn’t run because if you really have liver problems it will show up in lots of other ways. At one point he wanted to do a liver biopsy to see what was going on and I said, “Not unless you can tell me it would keep me from getting hit by a dump truck” or something similar. Anyway, it stayed elevated for a while then went down. I got life insurance.
Add milk thistle to your diet. Can't hurt. Unless you are allergic to ragweed. Then don't
I don’t know how I missed this post, but it seems I do a lot of that these days.
HTB is correct in the milk thistle for liver function, but I won’t go over it because I’ve already addressed it at length and boringly so, I’m afraid.
Will the GP’s office be sending the “things” in for biopsy?
