Has that global outage been going on, like over the weekend?

Just curious. Since I spend so much time here (at the laptop) due to CFIDS, I have a tendency to notice when things slow down. Or don’t want to work.

(I depend on the internet for my connection to the outside world.)

I think it started yesterday evening sometime.

We don’t have an outage.

Hypothetical question.

If the government lets things get back to normal next year thanks to all their help, and the world took two years to recover from the Spanish Flu without government help, will we finally be able to say government is not a solution?

Government is the solution to problems government created.

The boys (and the driving instructor) survived. The instructor said James isn’t very coordinated, which we know.

Thanks. Mine started to slow down yesterday morning, but seems to be OK now, though not what I would call “normal,” even for here.

Some people shouldn’t drive.

Back from the pain clinic. Unngh.

The Lawn Guy is still here, (since 0730) and he may be wrapping up, but the mulberry tree detritus hasn’t even been touched. I keep tracking the stuff in, even though I wipe my feet on the mat outside and the rug inside.

The bed was made early, so I won’t have any hindrances when the urge strikes me to head down the hall. I was up 35 minutes before the alarm even rang this morning. MAybe I can sleep in again tomorrow. Or not. :o])

I did, but now I feel like a zombie. Jake decided he wasn’t ready to get up. He was out all night again.

If I’d been out having fun, being a zombie would be worth it, but I haven’t.

Unngh.

The best laid plans...

It seems I no sooner got into bed and began to relax and do quiet things, like read, and the text messages began to come in and people were at my door. Everybody. They spread it out far enough that each time I thought it was safe to try and relax again, another text would come in from someone else, or someone would knock or ring the bell. Is this Monday?

Tomorrow is Walmart day, and I have to get my morphine, then go get quarters for laundry. I didn’t realize I was so low on quarters until I put the money in all three machines. I need to get used to it because I’ll be washing that extra load until I move, trying to do the rugs and the bedding.

UPS came by and brought me a box from Zulily and I couldn’t think what I had ordered, or alternatively who had sent something to me. I opened it, looked at the contents, then put my glasses on and read the label. It was for Rocky.

Perfect Wife wants me to help her find a way to plant vegetables when I get there. It will cost her. I want to plant a quaking aspen and name it Smedley. Or Smedley Diane, just to cover the bases.

FedEx says the boxes from U-Haul are en route.

Walgreens reminded my I have a prescription.

Not Adam brought me a small book on the Constitution.

Could I please borrow Jake for the night? I need a warm hug from a furry hugger.

Unnngh. I hope it got better after all that. Turn your phone off?

Perfect wife should use Google to fine her local garden club, then email them!

If she would just THINK! I mean, what’s wrong with those planter boxes? You know—the plastic ones that sit on you porch and are pretty insect resistant?

She’s lived in AR for 20+ years and still doesn’t know about university extension services? It’s one of the first things we were taught — if you don’t know, contact the extension services.

Well, it will be worth it to have a tree in their yard. :o]

Charitably, one could say she’s trying to form a connection with you using any topic to hand. However, the fact that she can’t assimilate your schedule is a barrier.

Some people, no matter how plainly you tell them things, they don’t think you really mean it.

And good morning.

What unusual markings!

Good morning. I have no idea what I’m doing. I do know I need to get my rear in gear. Another busy day ahead. I hate running errands. I need to put gas in the Tracker again.

Maybe when I wash my face off and comb my head out I’ll feel better. I have to sort pills but I may do it when I get back from Walmart. Now, however, I’m going to go make the bed.

If I turn the phone way down and fall asleep before someone texts, the chances are good I’ll sleep through it. Usually. Otherwise, the vibration on the wooden nightstand (or in the drawer) will wake me up. It comes from so many years of living alone — part of my mind is awake, listening for sounds that don’t belong.

I recognize the attempt at the connection, but the lack of ability to accept someone’s boundaries (in this case, schedule [British pronunciation]) reeks of narcissism. Abusers have no concept of boundaries.
