Congratulations to Patrick!! Does he ever turn invisible at work, I wonder?

I don’t think so. Several people have reported seeing him there, and he said he tells customers where to find things. Anyway, his supervisor needs to be able to see him to give him the next instruction.

Well, maybe the idea of needing to be present and accounted for in order to draw a paycheck is good incentive to stay visible. ;o]

Does he like what he’s doing? Has he “graduated” to cashier, yet?

Yes, he likes what he’s doing, and there isn’t a transition from stocker to cashier. He would have to apply to be a cashier if he wanted to, but he doesn’t.

One has to be a real people person to want to cashier. My favorite cashier stocks most of the night, then on Tuesdays, she would be on the register for an hour before going home. She got bored and asked to be removed, to do stocking. Well, I wasn’t happy. Now I seldom see her. She’s happy, though. With luck I’ll see her Monday.

I’m off for the night. I really want to go to church tomorrow, so I hope I can rest well. It’s depressing to be so tired.

Have a good evening, and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Unngh.

Rocky has been putting Harley out in the back yard since the new sod was planted in front yard. Most of the time, he doesn’t bark, but every once in a while, he’ll see something that rivets his attention and he will bark incessantly. Last night was one of those nights.

She doesn’t leave him out for long, usually, but last night, he was at it for nearly an hour. So much for a good night’s sleep.

I have no clue how it will play out.

Unnngh. Maybe you’ll get back to sleep for a while!

Patrick drove home from work, woo-hoo. The keys are on the hook, and the “Student Driver” magnet is on the table. He clearly considers himself a graduate! I’ll need it again when the other byos start learning.

I looked up driving schools the other day, and I plan to call one next week, to see about getting James and Vlad into classes starting in February.

I doubt if sleep is in the cards for me today, unless I take a drastic turn for the worse. I’ve had my shower and unless I find a way to “unlax” as my late Unreal Brother once said, there won’t be any naps.

Yes, driving schools! There is no reason in the world why you should subject yourself to being a Driver Training Instructor, any longer. You’ve done it enough. It’s time to pay someone else to do it.

The driving school will put them through the required training to get learner’s permits (under 18), but someone still has to do the Supervising Driver gig while they practice. Perhaps the other parent will find himself available ... it is to laugh ...

Sweet marmalade with opal eyes. How gorgeous for a Sunday morning!

Good morning.

I just went to adjust the volume controls on my phone and found a message from Rocky. A photo of a butterfly sitting on the back of a frog. She likes butterflies or hummingbirds and I like frogs and monkeys.

People are bailing from FB right and left, and I’m pretty sure Twitter is experiencing a mass exodus as well. My family members are scattered all over, now, on Gab, Parler and MeWe. They can’t seem to get together on any one site, now that FB is so intent on censorship. I just found them all and now they’re splitting up into different venues. *sigh*

Yes, but it shouldn’t be quite so stressful as having to do the entire thing yourself. And perhaps the Other Parent will avail himself. I saw a pair of Two Left Feet socks at Lin’s — “When pigs fly,” and thought of getting them. But who for? Hindsight. Ain’t it lovely? ;o]

It’s a nice thought, the picture from Rocky, but better would be if she didn’t leave her dog outside to bark. People with dogs seem to be rather like people who play musical instruments: they believe they and their noisemaker are in a Cone of Silence.

And that’s enough of me griping for this morning ;-). I’ll go wash up and sort some laundry before I start my prayers.

I don’t mind you griping. Heaven knows, I do enough of it myself. I think mine is driven by the need to have a conversation, but living alone for so long, I’ve pretty much forgotten how. I try to be more aware of it, but sometimes, it just slips.

Rocky is Rocky. She probably doesn’t realize how fragile my sleep is on any given night, so it stands to reason that she isn’t aware that a barking dog robs me of my sanity. But it is what it is. I’ll trade her Barking Harley for a whole new set of sleep disturbances in Cabot. It happens.

I have plenty of sleep-disturbances, too, but at least they don’t disturb the neighbors!

The cats are upset because it’s cold this morning. It looks as though it’s going to be sunny later, at least.

Some people are just not aware of how their behavior affects their neighbors, so they think its OK for their dogs to bark or their kids to appropriate someone else’s things.

I may have to lie down. I’m so tired I’m dizzy, and that’s not a good thing. Everything will have to be put on hold. I just went in to make the bed and heard Harley barking again. *slump* And Unngh into the bargain.

Unnngh. I hope you feel better after lying down, and I hope the barking stops quickly.

Unngh. I did lie down. I slept almost two hours, and that’s not going to be good for when I try to sleep tonight. Before wash day tomorrow. Which is also going to set the entire week on its nose.

But it’s done and can’t be undone. I’ve lost almost two hours I won’t be getting back. :o|
