Pretty good. 5 more days of quarantine.
Haha! Good one, for sure!
Thanks, Nully!
Unngh.
I stopped at Great Clips on my way to the pain clinic and as I got into the truck, I remembered with a shock that it was a year ago today that some hit-and-run driver took off the front bumper, when I was going to the same place.
I had to wait 15 minutes (a first) and it took the gal almost 40 minutes to do what has normally been a 20 minute job. As I was sitting in the chair, watching her do the last minute fiddles with the last few sections, I’m thinking I did NOT like what she had done to my hair. It was all slicked down and looking like something I couldn’t think of.
But I left, and headed for the pain clinic. My hair was just too short for me to like! At the pain clinic, I explained about the morphine, and they’re going to call it in to Walgreen’s where it will sit until it can be filled next week. While we were talking, the receptionist told me how nice my hair looked. WHAT???
I got home, gave it a brush to cover the part in the middle of my head and realized the tip I gave the gal hadn’t been enough! Too short, but in a style I can live with. The printer wasn’t working so I got a hand receipt that stated if I came in by Feb 7th, the haircut would be $11.99. :o])
Now I want to make some more cornbread but because I was longer than I wanted to be, I didn’t even get the bread started.
Glad to hear you’re getting on okay.
I just got the cornbread in the oven. Once the dishes are done, I’ll decide on the Next Thing, keeping in mind I need to take Pat to work around 1:30.
I think I need the recipe for cornbread that you normally use. Lately, I’ve only been using the box mixes, but it’s time to toss out the preservatives and go back to what I leaned how to do best — bake from scratch!
I’ll get it to you.
Should have put this in for 17 minutes instead of 20. The smoke alarm went off when I took them out! Not excessively brown, though ... the yutes will eat them.
I don’t like smoke alarms, but I guess they do what they’re designed to do. My ears are so sensitive with CFIDS...today, as I was waiting for my turn at Great Clips, I was listening to the stereo playing much louder than it needed to and also listed to four other people having conversations. All I wanted to do was leave. Even the large amount of traffic on the street would be better than what I was listening to.
Yutes will eat anything.
Pat has been delivered. Next, it will be nap. Frank is raising an objection. I told him to call Social Services and tell them, “My mother told me to go and do something quietly in my room for a while.”
Careful how you say that.
Mrs. ArGee can bake yummy stuff, but she doesn’t really like to. Still, when she wants to impress her parents I get some.
Does that mean Pat has been delivered twice?
Heh heh.
I went gathering wool for a while. Then I realized that my phone alerts had been shut off somehow, so no text messages. If I hadn’t been within about 12” of my phone I would have missed a call. It’s all good, though! Now, I can go to bed. I’m very tired so bed is a good place to be.
Life was much simpler without phone alerts.
With all the push notifications it has my phone is the most pushy thing in my life.
I like to make yummy stuff, but for a long time, I had no interest in it. Now, the interest is coming back, so I got a mixer! Well, it will be coming, soon.
I hope you have a good night. I played a game of “Carcassone: South Seas” with the kids and came in second, one point behind Vlad. He’s a tricky one!
The slightly over-browned muffins were gobbled down by the eaters nonetheless. Maybe I’ll make more in a few days to use up the self-rising cornmeal mix.
My goodness but you’re up early!!
And with a marmalade!
Good morning.
I’m sorry you’re sleep deprived at the moment. Will you be going back to bed?
