A benefit of an EV truck is larger battery capacity - rendering the cold-weather limits less of an issue. Distance matters if max range is <100 miles (as I found with a Leaf), or noticeable with 200-300 mile range, but being able to put a >500 mile battery in assures drivers they'll have enough range for a, er, range of situations.

Not really.

I have a diesel sedan. In city, 500-mile range. On the road, approaching 800 miles. But that’s not as critical as the ability to refill quickly. I’d live easily with a 300-mile range. I can put another 500 - 800 miles in the tank in about 5 minutes.

I don’t want an EV that requires more than 10 mins to fully recharge. If you bribe me, I might go 20 mins. Certainly not hours.

When it can tow my 15000 lb fifth wheel 400+ miles with 30 minute recharge I might take a look.
