Pound her with it from now till election day! Every Single Day. Get hannity to bullet point it and tucker to question why it’s not been signed. Spackle the walls with it till every reporter starts asking themselves why not sign it.

Nothing works that way. Almost every Republican vote needs to be purchased; a bridge, a library, a civic center, an armory, a chunk of a military contract to a supporter, etc. The same is true of Democratic votes, only their stuff is grants, socialist programs, etc. Imagine where the money Nancy has extracted has gone, since apparently none of it was every used to improve her district.
There is no line item veto. This is because Republican presidents would, I hope, eliminate socialist programs. Democratic presidents would eliminate the ability of Republicans to brag about that civic center they got built. As for writing so it can be understood...if people could read and understand the bills they would be appalled.
As horrible as all this sounds, it beats any other countries governance scheme. And, fortunately, America is rich enough to get away with it.
We used to use a feature in Microsoft Word that graded our proposals. The goal was 9th grade level for government proposals.
