While Hunter was high on drugs, his Chinese companion(s), probably Chinese Intelligence agents disguised as escorts, took pics and videos of him in all kinds of compromising situations, including the horrific acts described.
Then they put copies of the docs on his laptop, without him even being aware. If his dad were to become President, they could tell him "Your dad is going to X, Y and Z for China...and if your dad doesn't go along, we will release damning pics, videos, and documents of your family's criminal wrongdoing. Wonder what we have? Here's the link for the folder on your laptop".
