I’m not sure either but it was a point of contention for Snopes - they said the photo was not yet confirmed because it was a meth pipe not crack and since Hubter was lying on his face they couldn’t confirm it’s him without seeing other side.

I heard this explained on the radio the other day. Crack turns into a gas when touched by a flame and thus a straight tube with some sort of matrix material like steel wool. Meth melts and then the melted liquid turns into the hot gas that delivers the drug so it is a tube with a globular bowl at the end.
Hunter Biden has a METH PIPE dangling not crack.
