So you seem to like math. First, do your division for Covid: "Let's divide 230,000 by 330,000,000"
Now look up car fatality numbers. Let's divide 36,000 by 330,000. Do you still think you are more at risk of dying in a car accident?
Do you "bend the knee" and wear a seatbelt, even though it Covid is 6x the fatality rate as driving? Maybe wearing a seatbelt is a rational precaution, even though driving isn't that dangerous compared to covid? Like wearing a mask? A cheap, easy, minor, courteous precaution for something > 6x more dangerous?
BTW, we still have ~4 months before get a full year's worth Covid numbers, so the comparison is going to be even worse. Probably 10x traffic fatalities.
I know you don't believe the numbers so why do math anyway. But I challenge you to look at the excess fatalities for 2020, even if Covid deaths aren't actually over 200k, it is close.
