I’m thinking it is possible that the computer may belong to Hunter, but someone else somehow or the other got it and took it to the repair shop. It was reported that it had a sticker on it from his foundation.

It’s also possible that someone else was collecting data - similar to the Weiner Laptop. Of course that reminds me Weiner wasn’t too careful about his laptop either. TBD

I may be wrong in my recollection, but wasn’t Weiner caught because the NYPD traced his sexting to a minor online and in real time? I don’t think he actually lost physical control of his laptop until the NYPD took it from him.

The story with Hunter is that he gave it to a repair shop and then failed to retrieve it, and the terms of the repair agreement allowed the shop to own it after a period of abandonment.

It seems so reckless that I’m not sure what to believe. But then ... meth addict.
