Thank you, everyone, in advance for your help and wisdom.
No on question #3.
Even if it does go through, it will probably be challenged in court. It would give NJ an unfair balance of power other states would not have.
question #2. I voted yes, reason being everyone goes to boot camp and is technically trained to be combat ready. Troops could be called up at any time.
I always vote no on all the questions
I have local question if I want to give the local thugs money for “open space fund” so they can go around and buy swamp land from their pals. Screw that crap, I would rather keep that money in my pocket
I just wish everyone else would wise up to this nonsense
The way I read it is, if there is a Court Challenge to the Census because NJ loses a seat or 2 in Congress, that NJ will stay with the current seating. To me that is the Democrats trying to hang onto Power.
JMO .... hope it helps!
We haven’t had a “peacetime veteran” in over 20 years.
No, no, and no.
That’s how I voted.
What a lot of people do not know about the Boston Tea Party is that the gripe of the colonists was not that the tea had a tax. The gripe was that it applied only to the tea that the colonists got rich from and not on the tea from the crown and it's monopoly with the East India Tea Company (though I think that tea itself came from China). In other words, they were protesting the crown using a tax to punish competitors and increase the crown's monopoly on tea.
That's my attitude with any tax, law, or regulation that's one way for some people and a different way for others.
Voted no on the final question
Excluding peacetime veterans from the benefits will inevitably be arbitrary and unfair, cause waste in the form of more complex rules to generate and administer, and probably cause lawsuits and legal costs to defend.
We always have undeclared wars going, plus dangerous conflicts short of war. ( the Cold War confrontations and shootdowns, secret military assistance, submarine and air intelligence ops, etc.)
There are many dangerous military duties which are still dangerous in peacetime. On the other hand during wartime, some safe jobs are as safe as peacetime.
Not every sacrifice is physical or due to enemy action.
For those reasons I would support eliminating the distinction.
I live in NJ and I’m a Republican. On the marijuana question vote yes. That is unless you feel criminals should continue to profit from it and there should be no way of preventing under age kids to be able to continue to have access to it.
On #2, yes. That’s a real no brainer. On #3 No. It’s rank gerrymandering.
NO IT ISN'T!!
All government compensation should be paid when a service is given. There should be no additional compensation once the service has ended. NO PENSIONS. NO SPECIAL TAX BREAKS. NOTHING!
ML/NJ
You're right - "no" is the brainless choice.
re
always vote NO on the changes to a state constitution
we need less government not more
