Re RT-PCR test, depending on the number of cycles you run ie how many times you reverse transcriptase, then PCR, depends on the amplification of the original test fragment in question. I have read, and posted maybe months ago, stated that the inventor of PCR analysis should NEVER be used for diagnosis, for this very reason. Different countries/tests are using different parameters (37 cycles is normal, but have exceeded 40 cycles). The test results further have not been quantified against patient symptometology, as far as I can tell, nor have they come to grips with the reality that patients that had COVID-19, and recovered, still may test positive because the rna fragments being evaluated are present in the white cells of the patient. Further, I have read (and maybe posted) that the initial strands used for amplification are present in the human genome; also are the strands from covid-19, or any old plain jane corona virus.
Many of the antibody tests getting FDA rushed approval for diagnosis (when I looked at them earlier in this mess a long time ago) were to coronaviruses. Coronaviruses can be a cause of the common cold.
Thus, the positive test numbers are dubious, in my humble opinion. Your graphical and tabular data are very nice, however, and much appreciated.
