And the irony is that, at least per one report just after Poppy’s funeral, which is when Barr came up as the AG nominee (with Joe DiGenova flogging him to Trump), the Jeb and W generation of Bushes decided they didn’t want to continue their father’s criminal business and came to a truce with the Trump family. (Remember all the Bushes with their extended nostalia visit to the WH?) The report at the time said that Barr, long a Bush family/CIA coverup fixer and close personal friend of Rober Mueller, was put in as part of the deal by the Bushes to be an enforcer of the truce terms. (That neither family would face serious charges.)
