HERE IS THE DATA THAT I CHECKED FROM SARAH HUCKLEBEE FROM 9/24 AND 9/25 ALONG WITH THE LINKS TO THE CHARTS FROM THE SOURCE FOR THE NUMBERS:
In 2018, a total of 2,839,205 resident deaths were registered in the United States
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db355.htm

The number for 9/24/20 was updated by SH on 9/25/20 :
2,041,186 through Sep 25th
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm
Sarahs update reported :
2020: 2,787,590 annualized
2,041,186 through Sep 25th
Note this number changes daily
*********************************************************
note that Sarah’s number is the same as Q for 2018
2018: 2,839,205 (SH,Q, DIS all agree)
2020: 2,041,186 (SH for 9/25)
Updated October 9, 2020:
Total Deaths = 2,167,730 on day 282 from this link:
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm
Dis note the CDC# is = 2,326,448 and annualized to 3,101,931
Maybe SH, Q, are using a different chart than Dis?
For some reason the link SHS (and Q) used STARTS Feb 1, 2020.
It’s missing the January data which messes up their annualization calculation.

Table 2. Deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), pneumonia, and influenza reported to NCHS by jurisdiction of occurrence, United States. Week ending 2/1/2020 to 10/3/2020.*
Fake number for 2020.
The total from the CDC data, in the link you posted, for 9/26, (CDC week 39) is: 2,326,448 NOT 2,130,000
2,326,448 divided by 39 is 59,653 per week.
59,653 times 52 weeks is 3,101,956 or 258,496-per-month, up 20,496-per-month from 2019.— Daniel (@numbers_truth) October 10, 2020
