Twitter warned Friday it will remove posts on its platform that wish for President Trump’s death after he announced he tested positive for COVID-19.
After reports initially surfaced that Twitter would suspend accounts that posted such messages, the company said the tweets would not merit immediate suspension, but would be swiftly removed.
“[T]weets that wish or hope for death, serious bodily harm or fatal disease against *anyone* are not allowed and will need to be removed. this does not automatically mean suspension,” the platform tweeted from its communications account.
The warning comes the same day as Trump’s announcement that he and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the virus, which has infected more than 7.3 million people in the U.S. and killed more than 208,000.
Social media was soon flooded with posts bashing Trump, though Democrats made several statements wishing the president well.
"Jill and I send our thoughts to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery," said Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden. "We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family."
Twitter said posts that wish for Trump’s death fall under its abusive behavior policy, which says users “may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behavior an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice.” Under the policy, Twitter may “permanently suspend the account upon initial review” if an account is “engaging primarily in abusive behavior.”

I learned today that top executives from Twitter and Facebook are part of Biden’s “transition team” . Maybe that’s why Trump is being censored by these two organizations.
Furthermore, what took them so long to delete these nasty posts from Twitter? Nasty pigs.
Maybe someone will do a song called “Dude Survived The Covid” to the old song “Dude Looked Like A Lady”. Imagine my surprise.
Curious minds want to know who the real haters are.
I think they should leave the posts. It will demonstrate which side deals in hate! The way they are doing it, the liberals get to blow off steam for free with no consequences. I think it might be better if these platforms “glued” these types of posts so that they can’t be deleted, or denied.
Funny, they suspended my account for a week when I said that the rioter throwing a molotov cocktail into the center of a group of cops had a deadly weapon and should have been shot the minute he lit it.
What took ‘em? I guess it was a real tough call removing posts you’re 100% in agreement with.
I have two more hours to go before my bedtime.
My hope is that inside of that two hours, I don’t hear about any additional Republicans who have tested positive for the virus. This seems far too one sided and convenient to be just coincidence.

If these are the people who support Biden, Pelosi, Schumer then it's all the more reason to support Republicans across the board this election. Those people DO NOT need power. They're evil in heart. They are racists in thought. They are fascists in action.
