Like the fake news, that clip is out of context. I was reacting to what could have been a legitimate and well deserved punch in the face and your condemnation out of context, since you have no idea of the whole sequence. My point is that your queasiness was out of place when juxtaposed against what is likely to occur if their documented threats are realized. It will be worse than a punch in the face although those are definitely possible. The good non-law enforcement patriots of America likely won't put up with what the Feds and National Guard has so far against those funded by and acting as enemies of the US.
I've been thinking about this since last night. It is mostly the men advocating in favor of punching and even though they have mostly not commented I'll wager the women are mostly in agreement with you. Biologically you guys have to keep all the babies alive, even the asshoes. So there's that.
But, this is the problem with society in general. There aren't any consequences for unacceptable behavior. That guy is not an individual. When he picked up that flag he voluntarily became a member of a group. As a member of that group he is at least partially responsible for ALL of the actions of that group. That principle was well established at Nuremberg. Why do you think an armed society is a polite society? I used to fight on the Marine Corps Karate team in Okinawa a looong time ago. The most polite place I've ever been was an event where the average guy could break a Louisville slugger with his shins.
Every guy in the olden days knew there was a line where you got hit in the mouth. As a matter of fact it is very beneficial to boys to get hit in the mouth and to have hit someone in anger, it shapes masculinity and it identifies who is who; who is a good guy and who is a bad guy, who you can count on and who will run, who is a bully and who is psychotic. What you have now is a society where boys don't get to learn any of that. Masculinity is being murdered. we are living in a country full of pussies with assault rifles.
I'm sorry to have to tell you this but a lot of the fault lies with women who won't let boys be boys. This is hurting women too. How do you think hypergamy works? Men marry the most attractive woman their status can win and women marry the highest status male they can attract. Presumably the thing that makes women most attractive to men; youth, hips and breasts, are indicators of fertility or successful child bearing (lots of them died having babies). And what equates to status in men is the ability to provide for her and the children while she raises them. This whole process is integral to the survival of the species and the continuity of society. Society is what allows us to cooperate for survival, and why we have hospitals and electricity and all the great things we have invented. Society is breaking down because we have eliminated the fundamentals of the one man one woman family where the father is in the home shaping the masculinity of the boys while the mother molds the femininity of the girls. Each of them being the model of what the young ones should look for in a mate.
While a man's eyes will tell him which woman is most attractive, how do you suppose a woman is to know which man will be the best provider? Women let the other men tell them. Status in males is determined by interaction with other males. Any group of men over time develop a hierarchy. Any woman will innately pick up on this and know who she wants because the other men have it sorted for her. So when we started fiddling with masculinity what we were actually doing was destroying the mechanism by which men sorted themselves and by which women knew who to settle down with.
In the actual case before us the screamer and the puncher is asshoe. Therefore you reacted negatively to him individually. So did I, but I also know that anybody, anybody, anybody! carrying an antifa flag is trying to destroy society therefore is an enemy combatant. Remember we are wired to protect and provide. That is why you love us. They are a threat and should be dealt with. It is a shameful commentary on our society that more men haven't stepped up and done something. The practice of punishing masculinity for asserting itself began in school and continues with the legal punishment of justifiable violence (Think Kyle Rittenhouse) so most of the sheepdogs are hesitating to get involved.
Masculinity is not toxic, this thing they have done to boys has made some of them toxic. If you repress this wholesome trait in boys it will find perverse avenues of escape. That is exactly why these antifa males are so scary. They are nuts because they have never been in a fistfight. (that is a gross oversimplification but you get my drift?)
What you are experiencing in some of the guys around here is a healthy amount of frustration at the fact that society is broken in large part because nobody ever gets killed for the right reason. I'm sorry to insult you, but what you are asking for is Obama's rules of engagement in Iraq. Only if they swing first. That got a lot of good men killed.
I agree, that one particular guy who did the punching might be crazy, again no one saw what set him off, but the principle that we need more aggression against Burn Loot Murder and the panty squad is well placed. Good men are made to protect and provide, watching the wholesale destruction and rape of society with no push back has got us all worked up into a state. (I think on purpose)
