This is why Jesus used the millstone around the neck of one who harms a child and is thrown into the sea analogy.

Many people have been damaged as children by sexual and physical abuse, and the deep scars left stay with them.

Only a relationship with Jesus helps such a one to be “undamaged”, and the chains of bondage to be broken.

In my own case, the emotional abuse experienced by growing up with two alcoholic parents was cured by finding Jesus, and by the love of an incredible woman, Mrs. exit82.

My biggest fear was in transferring my own damage to my children, but that did not happen, for which I give credit to Jesus. I gave them a childhood I could only dream about when I was a child, and they turned out wonderful.

As a child, my favorite TV shows were “Ozzie and Harriet” and “Leave it to Beaver” because I thought that was how families were supposed to be.

I realize now, that even though I suffered real damage, it did make me a stronger person. I could empathize and help others in the same situation because I lived through it.

Jesus helped me to turn a negative into a positive.

Today is the National Day of Prayer and Fasting for America.

America was founded on Biblical principles and dedicated to God from its beginnings 400 years ago.

America was never perfect, but it was divinely blessed in a way that made it the world’s first superpower in less than 200 years from its founding.

But in our lifetimes, we have seen a steady erosion in our society to the point of fracture due to a turning away from the Word of God. To read a Bible verse at the beginning of the school day, and reverence and respect for priests, ministers and rabbis was not an uncommon thing 60 years ago.

It is time to reclaim America from the ungodly Left.

We have shed innocent blood in an amount undreamed of since 1973. If we recoil in horror at the murder of 6 million Jews and name it “The Holocaust” and build museums to remember it, what should we name the legalization of child murder through abortion, killing 70 million innocents since 1973? When Cain killed Abel, the blood cried out to God from the ground. What does the cry of the blood of tens of millions of innocent babies sound like?

Now, we wrestle with pedophilia, child abuse and trafficking, drugs, and unrestrained sexual immorality, including allowing the murder of ALREADY born children.

Can God look away indefinitely from a society that condones such evil?

The rise of Donald Trump and his work to turn America back to its greatness and dependence on God is a gift from the Lord to give America a chance to come back from the abyss.

We are seeing things today we could not even say a few decades ago.

We are seeing just the tip of the iceberg of the evil and corruption that has been controlling us for many years.

Trump is making a way for us to break free, with the help of the Lord. Things in the dark are being brought to light, thanks to the personal courage of one man.

So, we need to pray today.

If America falls to evil, there will none to come to rescue it, like America has rescued others in the past.

This is our hour, our test.

Thank you for sharing. My growing up was emotional neglect and total lack of structure. I think we ran from Bill collectors at least every year. My dad's mom and dad were never in my life for hate of my Appalachia mother. Love was never spoken in my family of 5 children. I never saw a basketball/football or baseball game my brother played in. My brother has 5 names that I'm aware of because it never mattered what we called him.

I too worried about parenting..I too have the help and love of Jesus but also years of psychological help. When I appear outspoken and uncaring it's instruction coming out to fight and not take the easy way out.
