My father gave me a 1950(?) Marlin 336rc that my grandfather gave to him.

Hadn’t been fired more than 40 times and it was perfect.

Burglars took it, I feel your pain.

The selling of any “JM” marked Marlin would be a death penalty offense in my family.

In Texas, firearm theft is a felony, no matter the value of the gun. Your brother not only betrayed a trust, he delivered a gun to a criminal.
