Good to hear. I guess it’s probably a wash. It’s not going to sway most people one way or the other. Those for Trump aren’t going to change their mind and those for Biden aren’t going to change theirs. The only question is how undecideds viewed it.
I personally thought Trump could have hit harder on a few points. He didn’t challenge Biden’s ludicrous claim that he [Biden] brought manufacturing back to the country and Trump is getting rid of it. I don’t remember Trump even bringing up NAFTA once. He also could have been clearer about how he shut down travel from China while Joe was against doing so.
Anyone who’s aware of the facts will think that Trump won the debate. Those who don’t will probably think Biden won.
The needle was not moved either way in terms of convincing undecided voters. If they’re too dumb to know by now what the truth is, these debates are not the forum to convince anyone of anything, except that Chris Wallace is a dick.
So before I officially go lurk is is my conservative kids final debate views from college.
1. Wallace is biased.
2 Trump should have stated facts more.
3. “Personally feel like Trump had a lot of opportunities to disparage biden by bringing up things he’s said in the past and simply didn’t take them. Fail to me.”
Now since I didn’t watch (because I want to sleep) tonight, I can’t offer my own opinion. My kid says I should watch the whole thing tomorrow. Maybe I will.
Listened to CSPAN call ins. The undecideds are still undecided, and expressed disappointment at the slug fest. Biden did better than anticipated-from POTUS supporters. Biden supporters were glad that Biden told POTUS to shut up.
One POTUS VOTER from 2016 is now undecided-didn’t like POTUS debate, but doesn’t really like Biden either - will watch additional debates before deciding for sure.
