Don’t mistake our silence for compliance or that we come from any kind of place that doesn’t see what a HUGE problem it is. I just don’t think we see any way around it right now. I see this as the biggest hoax perpetuated on the world.

Here’s the thing. This isn’t just about this pandemic. Our police force has been changing for years. Our liberties have eroded to such a point, that we don’t even see it anymore. Too many good Americans will show some poor unsympathetic shlub, and then not care that their Constitutional rights were totally trashed.
I have seen so many video’s prepandemic, of people filming a police stop. We have every Constitutional right to do so per the 1st. amendment, freedom of the press. I would guess that half the time the police call in backup. Not for the stop, but for the guy holding a camera! There are video after video of 4/6 police trying to shine lights into the camera, ask the cameraman questions that are none of their business, but do drown out the sound, stand a foot away in an intimidating fashion so you can’t see what is happening. The sad thing is, so many on our side, don’t care that this 1st amendment right is being destroyed because they don’t like the camera guy. Or, they don’t think he is being respectful enough. Respect goes both ways, and I would not be respectful to anyone trashing our Constitution. No excuses.

Another right our side continues to ignore is when cops threaten a non criminal with failure to ID. This has been going on for years. If you have not committed a crime, you don’t have to tell a police officer who you are, where you live, your date of birth, etc. it is none of their business. Once they know who you are, they can just mail you a bogus ticket. If you don’t pay, then they can rightfully put out an arrest warrant for failure to pay ticket. See how they work this? I believe that is why the Christians were arrested was failure to ID.

Our founding fathers, were brilliant. Most of us have little experience in govt. corruption. We need to trust they knew what they were talking about, and not think it is non-important.

II have posted the mask arrests, and Christian arrests, like Q said, sometimes you have to show people. But some of us have been trying for a very long time to call attention to this issue.

Also, this is not just about arrests, but threatening to arrest someone who is not breaking any laws. That threat will almost always get someone to comply. That is why filming is so very important.

you mentioned Kyle Rittenhouse. I think a whole lot more people would be willing to help others protect their property, but for fear of going to jail for life. Basically, the police are doing little to stop them, and at the same time making sure you don’t stop them either.

Now, before anyone complains that I am ignoring the tyrannical govt. affecting these things, I am not. Why don’t the police arrest them? Or, if anyone has a better solution to stopping them, speak up. We can’t allow our police force to be used as the goon squad for these criminal govt. employees.

Police protect rioters by ensuring that nobody actually fixes the problem with threat of arrest such as Kyle.

Police arrest homeowner brandishing a gun while protesters stand outside his home shining bright lights inside. Protesters, no arrests.

Police arrest driver who managed to escape protesters breaking his windows, and trying to pull him out of the car.

Police arrest homeowner for using a pellet gun on a thief who was on his property trying to steal his Trump sign.

Police arrest salon owner, gym owner, barber, for simply going to work.

Police arrest pro lifers who wrote in chalk on a public sidewalk in front of planned parenthood.

Police arrest homeowner for having a second party, after they warned him about the first party.

Police arrest churchgoers singing in public

Police arrest family member enjoying a relatives ballgame for not wearing a mask.

Police do nothing about the crimes committed by the homeless

Police do nothing about someone walking into a store and stealing items.

Police do nothing about rioters.

Police standing down at a back the blue event where Michelle Malkin was attacked on stage

Police standing down in Chicago so a Trump rally had to be cancelled, and several Trump supporters were mistreated by thugs.

Police funneling Trump supporters into the waiting arms of Antifa

As far as I am concerned, decent people don’t allow this type of bad behavior, so where are the good cops?

you mentioned not seeing a solution, I have brought one up, but so far, nobody has even addressed it.

Currently, police have qualified immunity. In other words, if they make a mistake and get sued, the police dept. must pay restitution. Or, in other words, the taxpayer. QI was enacted to protect govt. employees from frivolous lawsuits. From what I can tell, it was enacted in 1967 the same way Roe v Wade and gay marriage, through the SC.

It needs a sever overhaul. It is not just govt. employees that should enjoy the protections of frivolous lawsuits, but all Americans. Also, QI can be waived, but from what I understand, only with a judge, or panel of judges. Who also have qualified immunity.

Just like threat of arrest makes people comply, threat of losing ones qualified immunity should work as well.

It would not take to many govt. officials, including cops, having to pay out 40 to 50k for this nonsense to stop.

Our police force has been changing for years.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All of your statements about the police appear to generalize the entirety of law enforcement into a corrupt force. I think there are cities and towns where that must, sadly, be true.
But I’ve been fortunate enough not to live in those areas. So, these generalizations, no matter how well written, do not resonate with me. Lately, in researching Q drops and following current events, I see the police being beaten and in one particularly brutal instance, hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat. Right now, one the Q thread, qualified immunity is not the top of my concern.
I respect your passion for this issue and your intellect.
“....you mentioned not seeing a solution, I have brought one up, but so far, nobody has even addressed it.”
You seem to be increasingly frustrated with me or people like me who are not responding the way you feel I (we) should. It’s not a lack of concern on my part. At this point in time I believe the police need all the protection(s) they can get as they are currently being physically attacked just for showing up.
If you do create a standing thread in the forum on the topic of police reform to organize the kind of civic response you have been diligently seeking, I would be interesting in hearing your thoughts, but not until I have more thread time and until the police are not being specifically targeted for defunding and vilification in general.
I’m not saying there are no needs or all cops are good. I’m saying the police need our support right now. They have contributed to the quality of my life since I was born and this is the first time in my life when I’ve seen the level of violence being directed at them.
Well-intentioned attempts to balance the rights of the public/police etc. would, at this time, most likely be commandeered to further the aims of the deep state who are demanding defunding or in Kamala Harris’ view, “re-imagining” of law enforcement.
I plan to support the police against violent assaults on them, defunding and disbanding now, and after the attacks on their survival lessen, would be willing to read with interest threads you create to lay out your ideas for addressing the concerns you’ve voiced. I can’t read about police being shot by rioters and focus on police reform at the same time.
