The postal worker must be a really stupid. They can easily look at the addresses of the mail to see what letter carrier’s route this mail is from.
They should lose their job. Their pension should also be reduced. If they get a pension at all.
When you live in a Fascist State like New Jersey.. and you are not allowed to vote by machine.. you need to mail/drop box your ballot right away upon receiving it. Vote Early!

The mail dumping out in California turned out to be contractors, not unionized employees.
Crossing out the labels might work, IF you ALSO cross out all of the bar codes printed on the box. But if you're trying to use a certain type of service like flat rate Priority Mail, you may be required to use the appropriate/specified packaging, because the rates are based on the specific package characteristics (including volume), and the pre-printed bar codes are used for billing and may influence automated sorting.
Sometimes frustrating (especially if you have a busy PO & have to stand in line), but I generally prefer USPS; in my experience, FedEx is more expensive, while UPS is more expensive AND destroys things...

If I contract on a federal job I have to follow all the federal rules that federal employees.
So if a contractor throws out my ballot, then too bad, so sad?
It cannot be said to many times: if you received a mail-in ballot, take it with you to the polls and vote in person. Then destroy the ballot, do not surrender it.

In our county, if you’ve been issued a mail in ballot, the list of voters at the precinct will be annotated as such. You will be allowed to vote a “provisional ballot” which requires several pieces of registration paperwork, which usually takes about twice the amount of time than a walk in voter.
Better to deliver your county-issued ballot to the election office as only ONE ballot is going to be counted (at least in our county).
This is the only mitigation available to us in NJ. The "ballots" are simple theater for the simple minds. The votes have already been totaled in NJ.
