We need a new constitution

No.

We have the original and best Constitution written. I haven't read all but several. There's a reason Texas has had 5 and the one we have is incredibly cumbersome.

The U.S. Constitution was written by the best minds there have been. Educated in governmental processes all the way back to ancient times. We don't need ignoramuses like Pukolosi and Shumer on a team coming up with new roolz

What we do need is nationwide understanding of the Constitution we have along with how to use it. We as citizens have weapons within our present Constitution that have never even been utilized due to widespread ignorance. A new document does not fix a lack of education on the subject.

I think one of the questions that needs to be asked is, “were the fathers smart enough to know that the world changes and something they found requisite in their time may need APPROPRIATE change in (their) future.”

This is not a “living document argument” as we have had several Amendments in the intervening years.

Take for instance, the 17th Amendment. Prior to it, Senators were chosen by the State Houses. It was a “populous” amendment that had coattails with the women’s sufferage movement.

Now, I’d rather it had not been done put, I peer back through the smoky lenses of confirmation bias (no pun intended).

What is being discussed should assessed against that question. Would the Fathers enter into a discussion of SCOTUS service limits?

we’ll never win by convincing people to “go back” to the constitution. That ship has sailed. The constitution is dead. Unless someone turns up willing and able to enforce it. We could agree to it again, but we have to win first. Tough to do in a soft commie nightmare.
