While it’s been several years since I’ve been to Mt. Wilson, I’ve been to the observatory and it’s difficult to see how it could burn. It’s inside a building and there is plenty of room to surround it with fire equipment, not to mention cutting back the vegetation leaving nothing to burn.
What is the building made from? If it’s stone or concrete, it would be less likely to burn.
