Fair point, but success in the lower tiers doesn’t always guarantee success at the top.
But I agree with you that Bubba Wallace was basically an affirmative action hire - much like Danica Patrick, who did actually win an IRL race at Motegi prior to jumping on the NASCAR gravy train.
He may have been however I was sorta a fan of his. He was on the iRacing service when I was around and I may have run been into him in a session or two. He just seemed like a grass roots racer trying to make it in the sport. Bubba, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliot, Kyle Larson and others could have possibly forged the future of racers.
Now, the sport is dead to me and I could care less.
