Kinda reminds me of Sam and Dave. Dave was not the real Dave.
Pre-existing conditions?
RIP
Dude was a big, overweight guy.
Actor John Candy died when he was 43. Both his brother and father died early.
Some folks are destined to die early
At first I thought it said Bruce Dickinson! Then this thread would have been all cowbell.
Well, I'd say so. Only one original member is left.
Sad to see them gone. When I hear rap "music" I think of the Temptations and the Four Tops and wonder, "WTF happened?" That Motown music on Armed Forces Radio was one of the bright spots of a nasty year in Southeast Asia. I'll never forget The Temptations.
But what was Williamson's underlying condition? They always leave that out.
Being an unhealthy person is what killed him. Obesity for sure, and probably diabetes and hypertension.
It makes me so angry that our government has yet to scream from the rooftops how obesity vastly increases your complications and death from COVID.
But then that would piss off Coca Cola, McDonalds, Nabisco, General Mills, and all their other donors who make crap food. So political correctness wins again.
RIP.
I doubt he died from the chinese virus.
for Temptation fans.....go to YouTube or Itunes and search “David Ruffin Smiling Faces”
His version of Smiling Faces....when you are aware of the fighting between him and the band and the bad blood when they tossed him out...you can tell he is singing that sing directly at the band. It was recorded post getting tossed.
RIP.
I loved the Temptations, especially the original lineup.
The “Temps,” “The Four Tops,” Aretha Franklin, Sam & Dave, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, all a major portion of the sound track of my adolescence.
Their music was GREAT!!! Their music was MUSIC!!!
I still listen.
