One of the cool things about getting older is that you learn that everybody is f*&^ing lying about _everything_.
It is quite liberating, actually.....
The repercussion is to get your ass down there and vote for Trump!
At some point Californians will wisen up. Could it be now ? The “gig” AB5 legislation has every part-time/freelancer pissed off, forced to join a union. That’s a lot of people.
All the gym owners, for sure, but add many of their patrons. That, too, is a lot of peeps. Add hair solon owners and patrons. Add everybody going dark during energy shortages. But of course, they’re paying premium taxes for all this fine government.
It befuddles me.
No major objections to those officers who need to stay in shape or test for fitness, but that does not include the rest, for which a few months of walking around the block would do the trick:

Took this long for the private gym owners to tumble to this? I guess there is a clean division between the Pigs and the rest of the Farm Animals. You’d think some guy married to a government worker would be bitching because she got to work out and he was frozen out.

This was a “report” from an NBC affiliate in San Francisco. There is no proof as to who has been using the facilities, and the way NBC found out about the facilities being opened was when another gym owner asked two cops if they needed a place to work out.
The article doesn’t identify any of the judges, lawyers, bailiffs, and paralegals the article claims to be using the facilities. And you and I both agree the cops need to remain in shape, the same as military personnel.
There is only the reporter, Jack Ward, who said this:
“For months, the city of San Francisco health order has prevented local gyms from opening its doors, but we’re now learning some city-owned gyms have been back open for months and are allowing city employees to use them. Jackie Ward reports.”
The SFPD officers are employees of the city. He’s not lying there. But there is no other identification of anyone except his saying so that others are using the facility. So with no evidence other than a reporter that was a former news broadcaster on Al Jazeera America that was removed in Saudi Arabia when they decided to ban Al-Jazeera and another Qatari website after Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani stated that he recognizes Iran as Islamic regional power and criticizes Saudi and Trump’s policy toward Iran, it falls in line with all the other terrorist ways. He also praised Lebanese organization Hezbollah and the Palestinian group Hamas.
Al Jazeera America represents a terrorist organization and as a network that has filed for bankruptcy here in the US, and Ward is a lying sensationalist trying to make the cops look bad. It also is an effort to softening the stupidity of Pelosi and her haircuts taking the news off her. It’s a lie and this guy has done it before.

Let us not forget that speciality offices provide services for government employees and the politicians whom command their obeisance—the DMV was outed within the last year as one example.
Just because there’s smoke, doesn’t mean it isn’t set on purpose.
I never said one way or another on my beliefs. I worked for the feds for over 30 years and still occasionally talk to my peers. But there is no witness, no names or bodies, no video, nothing even to say anyone has used any facilities except a casual conversation between a couple of cops and a facility owner trying to drum up bucks in my estimation either through getting illegal business or being paid by the reporter or someone else to create a story. And that conversation didn’t identify where the two cop’s “place” was. By the wording of the reporter’s angle, it could just as easily have been at one of the cops’ home. He didn’t commit to anyone, anywhere. Don’t eat what the reporter is cooking.
The only thing in the open is that questionable reporter for NBC and he is the only person to say anyone but cops have used any facilities that historically have been used by city employees. And he hasn’t proved the cops have used city or state facilities either. And his word by itself, obviously doesn’t make it fact with his history.
