Deputies tracked the stolen horse to Sanborn Road in Salinas A rare arrest for horse theft was made in Monterey County.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff's department, they received a report of a stolen horse Friday night.
41-year-old Thomas Alvarez was found with the stolen horse.
He was arrested and booked on charges of grand theft. His bail was set at $10,000.
The horse was returned to the rightful owner.
Can we make hanging horse thieves great again?
If we are idiotic enough to think that a single horse was as important as it was way back when, when it was pretty much the most important asset a man owned.
But since armchair tough guys here love the death penalty in any form but anything too violent they would never do themselves, why not?
DP, relax dude. Nobody wants to hang the horse thief. It’s a joke son, a cliche. The stuff of black and white westerns. Take a chill pill and get off your high horse. Hang on to it though because there are horse thieves about.
Right along with GTA.
Gotta say, looks rather young. Like a yearling.
A lot of horses are stolen. Some are butchered nearby, some are sold to slaughter buyers who ship the horses to Mexico to be slaughtered. A few are resold abroad for sport use. You may not think theyre important today, but fine show horses can be worth into eight figures. A childs beloved pet may become worth thousands through training and experience. Its horrible to imagine an animal one bred, foaled out, fed, raised, trained, and lived being cut up for some illegals dinner, which happens in Florida.
