Dh lived in SF in the early/mid 1980s. Once he was on his way to a job and got stopped at a cross street because of a parade. A “Gay pride” parade. He knew how horrible fagdom was but he was shocked. He saw men dressed in almost nothing with leather hats and straps and spikes and stuff, with little boys on leashes.
In the 1972 list of “Gay Rights Demands”, the very last demand on the list was the elimination of ALL age of consent laws. Once in around 1994 some lesbos verbally attacked me because I had a sticker on car promoting marriage means a man and a woman and I threw that fact back at them - the elimination of all age of consent laws. They admitted that was the goal but “the public isn’t ready for it yet”.
