I swear to goodness you're reading my mind. I just wrote a Tweet saying the exact thing:

If you haven't noticed, the leftist IIA talking points today are all focused on dividing Trumps' Veteran base. The Atlantic story and Stars and Stripes story are #FakeNews designed to divide. Don't fall for it.

None of these stunts will cost him a single Trump voter. We are all baked-in. Their gamble is they can use FUD and flat-out lies to influence “undecideds” of which I suspect there are far fewer than they think. The “shy Trump voter” is a real thing, it is people who see what’s going on, see what kind of shape Biden bin Hiden is in, think back about all the lies the’ve been fed, and then think, “you know what, I’m not telling anybody but I’m gonna vote for Trump, because even though I don’t like some things he does, he’s the best choice for the country”.

You won’t find a Trump sign in their yard and they might wait til election day to vote in person just in case something changes their mind, but unproven accusations aren’t going to do it.
