The gist of this is that there was a question as to whether the incident actually occurred. Since the USSS now claims that the records were destroyed, that means that there really was such an allegation and/or incident. Because they couldn’t destroy records of something if there were no records in the first place.

Destroyed records means someone is hiding info they don’t want revealed.
