And another good discussion would be, why did the Obama/Biden administration not do anything about all this alleged systemic racism? Why didn’t we hear anything about this subject until recently, if it’s so ingrained in the American experience? If liberals are so insightful about all these problems, why didn’t they do anything about these problems when they were in power?

That point has been made before. The media DOESN’T WANT TO TOUCH THAT ONE. Talk about a hot potato.

Jim, that’s the bedrock issue.

The contention is that it is EVERYWHERE.

And they’ll get to the small towns and suburbs as soon as they “fix” the cities.

We can hardly wait.

Name some Republican-run cities so we can put this into perspective.

It’s laugh out loud funny, to see a city such as Chicago, with a black mayor, black DA, and black chief of police. How can anyone there talk of systemic racism, when that city is run by black people????

They will tell you that the "systemic racism" is what allows white Republicans onto the ballot to challenge their authority and their agenda.

If only they could have complete, unchallenged control of everything, their cities would be utopias. It's systemic racism to challenge the natural order of their right to run things.

Today, the African American population of Portland (6.3%) is more than three times the Oregon average, with more than two-thirds of all African American residents of Oregon living in the city.

In places such as Chicago, where there is no Republican Party, the Dems own the whole shebang. They need to be made to answer.

Serious question for democrats and media? Why is there so much 'systemic racism' going on in these exclusively democrat-run cities?

Does seem a bit counter-intuitive.

Of course they have a long history of taking the problems that result from their method of governing and reflecting them back on any other convenient target. When you own the MSM, you can get away with that kind of nonsense.

Everything the MSM, schools, leftist government tell us about “race in America” is all wrong.

In fact, its not even wrong - its 180 degrees the opposite of what they say.

To your point Jim: Portland Oregon has been dominated by Liberals for decades. WHY are they rioting for 95 days straight!? What don’t they like? What have the Liberals done wrong in their eyes?

OUT-ON-A-LIMB...I won’t be surprised if we see a major change in politics at the local level because I will never believe we have that many deranged people to allow this to continue.

Because the Democrat Party hates black people. That’s been true since the founding of their sick political organization.

Jim,

I think a big part of the answered is explained in a June 2020 story by Larry Schweikart:

An Alternative Theory of the Riots

Larry's analysis: city Democrats have been shaking down large banks to the tune of $2 trillion dollars in the last many years. And the "deal" was to enable the large banks to absorb all the small banks.

It was all brokered by leaders in the commuuuuuuunity: people like the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who had good ideas where all that "pocket change" should go.

And now there's a bit of a crisis because the small banks are all gone so the large banks don't have a reason to be as "civic-minded" as they were in the past.
