"Have the TV going through the night."

In 2001 when my husband had the bleed in his brain was the first time not having him home for a month. I started listening to talk radio on my little portable right next to my ear. I have done that ever since. I couldn't do the TV as the flashing light from it bothered me.

My husband is the oldest of ten children and he always said he had to have noise. Then he took a bad fall years ago while playing basketball. He got undercut and fell and hit his head. He's had noise in his ears ever since the fall. He has to have noise at all times to drown out his ear noise. (4 TVs going in his family room) He has a younger brother that also has the problem and they sleep with a TV on as well. They've been married for over 40 years.

I listened to music and talk radio when I worked 2nd and 3rd shifts. My sister and I shared a hotel room while visiting New York. Told me I couldn't have a light on at bed time because she was having a lot of problems getting to sleep at night. I wrote in my journal every night before bed and she would get in bed and when her head hit her pillow she was asleep within 5 minutes. She never was awake long enough to tell me turn off the light..lol
