You can almost smell the sweat. The Democrats and their media handmaidens are starting to panic about Joe Biden’s prospects.

The proof comes in their efforts to wish away the wave of crime and violence engulfing many American cities. Their argument can be boiled down to two false claims. First, it’s President Trump’s fault. Second, it’s not that big of a wave.

The first is patently absurd on its face. Democratic mayors running nearly all those cities are pulling back cops and rejecting federal help. The blood is on their hands.

It’s that they don’t have any other candidates and there isn’t enough time for them to campaign and have the voters get to know them.

This is a big plus.

People are much more likely to vote for a democrat when they don't know them very well.

We are 2 months away from the next presidential election after almost 4 years of Trump, yet we only have one small fish pleading guilty related to the Russia nonsense. I doubt the Democrats are worried about investigations.

To save themselves, they had to act in ways that gave away the entire outline of the Deep State. Their risk now is not so much prosecution but public attention. Using a pandemic to suppress that attention was one of the last cards available to them. If Trumps plays it right, he can reveal them for all time as seditionists and scammers, and get many of their puppets flung from power.

Defeating the entities behind the Deep State will take a lot longer, but Trump - like Reagan before him - may have bought us a couple more decades to address the problem.
