Soros didn’t amass a fortune of tens of billions by being stupid. I am quite sure that there are multiple levels of “charities” between him and Antifa/BLM, and that he never writes down any instructions regarding the use of the funds. He doesn’t have to - if someone doesn’t follow instructions, their job is gone.
First, given his wealth, cleverness, and legal staff, Soros isn't going to leave any money trails that lead directly to himself.
Secondly, there have been many stories about Soros himself being an employee/agent for certain European powers that he started working for in his youth in Hungary. This is why Orban government in Hungary is so adamant about banning his influence (Hungary knows the truth).
