The Stars have lost customers over their support of Black Lives Matter and protests over racial inequality, president and CEO Brad Alberts said Friday afternoon.
“But we/I stand by our organization’s commitment and support our players 100% to express their views,” Alberts said.
When asked which customers the team has lost, Alberts said season-ticket holders, and that it was a mix of individual and company accounts. He did not disclose specific names. Alberts said no advertisers have pulled funding.

Yet. If the customer base shrinks and stays shrunk even if the advertisers do not pull funding they will refuse to pay previous rates due to a diminished viewership.
I’m sure those advertisers will keep paying top dollar as it becomes increasingly evident that NO ONE is watching.

When I was at work, I was not “free” to express my views on anything but work.

I am free to express myself anywhere else I want...but work was an “opinion-free” zone. No one foisted theirs on me...and I did not foist mine on anyone else.
I had a boss that used to joke about me supporting Trump. I told him that made for an uncomfortable work environment. The little twerp almost shit his pants. He never brought it up again.
I have mentioned this on FR and off Fr many times over the years but the goal of some people in the sports industry is to have mostly minorities make money by playing, women employed in executive roles, announcing, etc. and white men as the paying customer who support financially the first two groups. It must end now.

I thought they were going to do away with racism by playing hockey. Then they were going to do away with it by refusing to play.
I have. Men shaming companies such as VW and Gillette. Or home alarm systems where white males are ALWAYS the burglar and usually black people are the victim. TV ad agencies have plenty of women atop and their view of society is what we see: propel blacks and women, ridicule whites and men. Too many white men overlook this unfortunately, too.
