Almost inevitable at some point in time. Might not be in our lifetimes, but easily could.
Couple that with the possible intentional EMP attack and this type of disaster moves up on the "possible" scale considerably.
Almost inevitable at some point in time."
As we have learned from the Global Warming hoax, NASA is not a reliable source of information. The statement from them is speculation, not factual, even though it's written as facts. The Carrington Event mostly disrupted telegraph lines and equipment.
In that era, these were very low current (battery powered) devices with long wires connecting them. There was little use of proper grounding in the system. The long wires acted as great antennas for the electromagnetic radiation, and the low current devices couldn't handle the result. Todays electric grids with the grounding and high current capacities, can often withstand direct lightning hits, and their well distributed grounding systems simply drain off the excess charge. It's not at all clear that the dire warnings from NASA have any more credibility then their dire warnings about "Climate Change".
Note that their dire warnings about "Global Warming" have already ended as the temperature record no longer supports NASA dire 'warming' threats of the past. Virtually no one can doubt that the climate changes, so that's a safe statement (as I am typing while sitting on a glacial moraine that was covered by a mile ice of just a few short centuries ago).
