I think a few grains of salt need be taken with the CDC data. What I mean is, if a person had heart problems or diabetes or whatever co-morbidity and then got covid and died, you’d almost have to be a doctor to know what caused it. If the person was living with their condition and died after getting covid, it seems honest to say that covid was the “cause” of death, because but for having the virus they’d still be alive and scooting around WalMart in their little electric shopping cart.
I do agree the numbers have been stretched to the limit by those who have a motive to do so, but consider this article to be far more impactive:
We’re being manipulated, to be sure. Overstated deaths, understated test results...
Both aspects are important, covid listed as death even when it wasn’t really, and the positives that aren’t really. I don’t see the need for any flavoring.
Isn’t the point of it comparing it to the deaths in previous years caused, only, by the flu?
In comparison, we would see that those that died of the flu in past years, with no co-morbidities, are near equal to this year’s COVID-only numbers.
And then, the demographics likely match up well also.
It’s just the flu, bro!
