If their audience reflects a true cross-section of America, why do they insist on insulting 83% of that audience?
More to the point, why does 83% of that audience just shut-up and take it?

A lot of them live in a bubble and think twitter is the real world. Example from Warner Brothers: They're making a movie called "Wonder Woman 1984." DC comics was supposed to do a comic to coincide with the movie release. One of the alternative covers for the comic was an obese Wonder Woman in mom jeans with small, saggy breasts. One of the DC editors got on twitter, insulting people who complained about the cover, and claiming they wouldn't be pushed around by those people.
Two days later, Warner fired the whole management team at DC.
They're tired of the SJWs who think their job is getting twitter likes from their little enclave.
I think Disney's figuring out the same thing.
As far as ESPN goes, a lot of these talking heads and athletes think they can't be cancelled. They can.
