I stopped last year to get gas in California. None of the pumps would take my cards. I had $20, so I bought, like, $19.48 worth of gas.

I went to pay and the kid just took my $20. I said, "Can I have my change"

And he looked at me all cross eyed like I was a lunatic for wanting my change. I couldn't even understand why he would think they just keep someone's change. So strange.
