I now keep a bag in my truck containing several dollars in change. Before I go into a store or restaurant, I make sure I have three quarters, one dime, two nickels, and four pennies in my change pocket. That way I can pay with the exact amount of coins needed, and replenish my pocket when I get back to the truck.
Smart.
