And it was interdimensional, as Trump said yesterday: "we've been working on this (pardon) for weeks."

We can be assured that the scorecard for this pardon was blinking ALL GREEN weeks, months or years ago and brought to POTUS for action; then held for this historical drop.

You concluded with:

Yes it sucks for them, and those who had other ideas.

As sure as someone today is 'showering with a mask on',
there was someone holding out hope the pardon was for "bill cosby" - after all, civilian trump is a predator too, right?

The pre-pardon announcement then, was NOT a short tease,
but an important 'bump' for law and order invoking many ideas/potentialities for millions.

Reading the other posts by FreeQs before/after the Suzy B. decision reveals just some of the collateral utility realized by the Administration. (i.e. - 'handmaid' outfits etc.) We could sense liberal brains exploding at the audacity of a POTUS pardoning anyone- ...save for their picks. This is what winning looks like.

Other utility might include:

Worrying by those involved in fraudulent criminal prosecution of political opponents, more prevalent outside Federal jurisdiction.
The half dozen levels of Federal Courts / which may have selected sentencing outside guidelines.
...and familes who in love and truth know their felons could easily return to society without harm with debt fully paid in every way.

I'm sure there are many more.

You might find it interesting that our POTUS has exceed the number of 'denials for clemency' beyond husseins' criminal actions in half the time!
