Longtime law and crime reporter Dan Abrams, who hosted A&E Network’s hit show “Live PD” before it was canceled in June, revealed there have been “active and ongoing discussions” about when and how the police reality series could be revived.

Abrams announced in a trio of tweets posted Tuesday that he has continually pushed for the return of the show, noting that there would likely be “some behind the scenes protocol changes.”

“While as of today I don’t yet have the answers to most of your questions about how or when the show could come back, please know that there are active and ongoing discussions and as soon as I know more I promise to share it,” he wrote, later adding: “I believe the show can be an important part of the national discussion about policing in America. So please stay tuned.”

I miss Live PD bring it back.

*************

If it comes back it will be in a “redacted” version due to PC pressures. It won’t be the same show.

I watched regularly; enjoyed it. Local PD was often featured.

“””noting that there would likely be “some behind the scenes protocol changes.” “””

Every cop would be black.
Every perp would be a honky.

Good point. A&E threw them under the bus and once it hit them in the pocket book they will come crawling back.

Just like sports, etc. going all pro-BLM to appease them, they will realize the BLM mob never cared/supported them to begin with and still won’t after they bow down.

If they bring it back, I’ll give it a chance, but if they get all woke, people will turn it off. It was successful because it showed the reality of what happens day to day and what police have to deal with.

And they’ll do it again. We have got to learn to turn off the financial spigot to these pandering morons and then NEVER turn it back on. That’s the key; making the pain permanent!

Only if it comes back exactly as it was. No touchy-feely, no BLM, zero, zip, nada, no social commentary. Even Abrams pretty much steered clear of the democrat talking points up to the time they cancelled. Anything other than the way it was is unacceptable.

I LOVE "Live PD".

I LOVE to see the bad guys get their snoots ground into the gravel when they get caught. And the series films episodes in my own county, too !

Live PD was my go-to program when I had to flip over from the now-over-wrought Hannity who needs someone to cuff his tongue to his tie.

And I hope Live PD, its producers and Dan Abrams don't bend any knees by eliminating and/or sterilizing the shows that gained them such a large and faithful audience nation-wide. The "Cops" series was not as interesting at all.

BRING BACK "LIVE PD" !

I don’t know how this show did so well. It’s as boring as watching paint dry compared to ‘Cops’, which was pretty good

When Cops come back to Paramount, I will start watching Yellowstone again but for now, nothing on that network.

Agree. The reality factor is what fascinated people. I also think there was an element of satisfaction viewers got from seeing bad guys getting shut down (at least temporarily). There’s enormous frustration across the land with criminals escaping justice. For a couple of hours we got to see that corrected.

There was something especially satisfying about watching a K-9 go after a punk like a heat seeking missile. LOL

If the show waters down the reality it will never regain its former popularity IMO.

RE: Probably have a blm message every 15 minutes.

Yep, that’ll be the “behind the scenes protocol changes”, thereby assuring that I won’t watch.

NEVER COMING BACK! (as it was)

IF it comes back, it will be renamed “Woke PD”.

No Blacks stopped, detained or arrested. No canines biting Black guys. No knees on the back of perps. No tackles of perps just a big BLUR!

Nothing LIVE, as we saw in the COVID editions of the show where they instituted a delay. WHY?

With the current anti-police/defund the police movement and police officers being charged with MURDER for doing their jobs, why would ANY police department agree to be on Woke PD?

He should refuse to go back to A&E. They’ve already shown they don’t have his back.

Go make your own show, call it “Live Police” or something to avoid copyright infringement, put it up on BitChute, and tell A&E to go to hell.

I miss it as well, my wife and I watched every episode and looked forward to it each week. If A&E brings it back as it was that would be great, if we have to endure and social justice lecture each episode I’ll pass. I don’t watch any pro sports anymore and can live without Live PD as well.

Danny boy the balls in your court with the idiots at A&E, bring it back as it was or just let it be a monument to the stupidity of liberalism and corporate suicide.

“... that went back to someone who called 911 for a sprained ankle.”

A few years ago I gave up working in Emergency Departments as they became urgent care clinics for people on Medicaid and smelly, homeless, drug and alcohol addled bums. The EMS services are similarly abused and have, for the most part, become “cabulance” services.
