I saw a study that said 62% of the people polled were afraid to say how they really felt and thought.
The only ones not afraid at all were young liberals.
The tree of liberty may soon need to be fed.
Flyers were hot during the round robin. Scored 11 goal in 3 games. Gave up 4.
Your three rings comment reminded me of the jingle that was popular when we first started drinking beer as young teens. Of course, Youtube has it.
Agreed. That was a must win game. Kucherov better show up at some point in the series or the only thing they'll be hoisting for the umpteenth year in a row will be a golf bag.
I totally agree. Columbus was outshot and outside of the record-breaking performance by Joonas Korpisalo, they didn’t play with the same tenacity (though they were still awesome). I’d be careful if I was Tampa - wounded animal bites Kan be pretti nasti.
I’m curious to see how they do against the team that beat my Penguins.
Just heard today that Pittsburgh fired all their assistant coaches.
Too many early exits since 2017.
I think the key for the Flyers was this new coach. In the running for coach of the year. Oh and that goalie Hart. Gene Hart one time announcer for the Flyers was a teacher at my grammer school.
Was that the house on Broad St. in Newark?
In my humble opinion, the Flyers chances started improving the day they got rid of Bobby Clarke in the front office.
He’s been bad for them since way back when he and Eric Lindros’s dad went at it. The “negotiations” were made personal by Clarke and the team seemed dysfunctional ever since.
I will gladly add you to the list.
Welcome to the team!
And they have just gone to OVERTIME!
I hope the Capitals vs Islanders game isn't pushed back....but I kind of do!

BERGERON! BERGERON! BERGERON!!!
It was the home of the great grandson, Peter Hood Ballantine Cumming. They sold it in the 80's to my Pop Warner football coach who owned a hugely popular restaurant in Highlands called The Clam Hut.
CBJ gave up a lot of shots but they do an excellent job of defending in front of their net. They don’t give opponents much room to skate which is why Kucherov was the invisible man yesterday. They are also really good with their sticks and those big bodies fill a lot of space and do a lot of blocking. Bolts will need to get inside more otherwise they’ll spend the game playing catch with Korpisalo from a distance.
Rope a dope. The fact is, a Win is just one Win. It doesn’t matter it is a 5OT or 7-1 win...ya gotta get 4 to advance On some level, I’ve got to imagine Tampa poured a lot into game 1. That’s great they come away with a Win, and Wins in hockey aren’t easy. BUT.. if Tampa burned up half a tank of gas to do so while Columbus only ate up 1/4 of a tank, that’s a problem...
Can’t speak to Tampa’s conditioning. But being smaller, the longer the series goes with the bigger bodies, the more of a toll it will take on them. That said, I look at the number of games CBJ played in a short time just to get to the next stage (including a couple of OT) and I have to think their gas tank will be closer to empty. We’ll know tomorrow at 3.
Lookit my Avs! 3 goals In under 2 minutes to win their first playoff game - and Grubi got the shutout.
I watched Grubauer play a lot when he was in Hershey. He’s a solid netminder!
