If Trump only has 226, and the only thing making him President is that California and NY aren’t being counted, when everyone knows they would vote Dem, would present a very, very troubling situation. Forcing the win on legal grounds in that situation would bother a significant part of the electorate, and create an even greater crisis in governance than the Dems and their nonstop resistance has. The only viable solution is to get to 270. Period. If California and NY are still putzing around, who cares. If some states that Trump won are still putzing around, like MI, WI and PA that are controlled by Dem governors, that could be a problem. Those states won’t mind not having their electors count.

I disagree; the Dems can TRY to make a stink, but the Constitution is crystal clear. The President is elected on the majority of electors appointed. If a state manages to screw it up, that's on them.

Although I agree, a few schwing states with George Sore-Ass-appointed stooges as Secretary of State and/or Attorney general, might try to muddy the water.

In which case, it's martial law / civil war. And whoever controls the boomers (subs not age cohort) wins.
