No mask, no flight.
Alaskan Airlines has intensified its mask mandate as the coronavirus pandemic continues, requiring all passengers over the age of 2 to wear a facial covering with no exceptions.

Morons...
People with Asthma should sue based on the ADA.
Dummasses.
Screw them...they are screwing alaska. Nitwits. May their business suffer greatly.
The just laid off 300+ workers here in Anchorage. No idea they had to dump Outside.
In the winter, they are just about the only game in town. I cannot image wearing a mask for a 4 to 6 hour flight....
No mask, no flight, no tourism, no economy, and Inuits starve. OK with me, if that’s what Alaskans want. I never lost anything there.
Done it twice in the last few weeks. From entering the first airport through two long flights and a layover, 12 hours each way altogether wearing the mask. Its not fun, but its also not all that bad, especially with one of those flimsy paper procedural masks. As another poster mentioned, if anyplace other than a hospital or nursing home makes sense to require this, its inside one of those aluminum tubes.
It’s all about control in the bigger picture.
When I was in the hospital last weekend for emergency gallbladder surgery I never wore a mask in my room. Some of the nurses would others would pull them down. When I left the room to walk I needed a mask but i have one of those thin cloth ones that makes it easier to breath.
I had one of those, but I stopped going to Ontario Provincial Parks after 9/11 and now longer need it.
Worse than one of DaCommieo's Subway Cars [considering total duration].
Hopefully they are scanning for symptoms.
We had bought tickets to fly to Juneau in a few days. Some friends of ours decided they wanted to join us. It looked like a good year to do it because there are not any cruise ships coming in, so fewer tourists. And then our friends sent us the notice that said you must have a negative Covid test within 72 hours of arriving at the airport. Otherwise you have to quarantine for 14 days.We dont trust the test because there of been so many false positives recorded. we were going to take a chance on that so we cancelled the trip We were going to do all sorts of things- do charter fishing trips, take some flight seeing flights to some other places, generally spend like you would on any regular vacation and the other couple was going to do it too. I was shocked to see that Alaska/ Alaskans are willing to give up their entire tourist season. We were wondering if perhaps the state hands out lots of welfare because of revenues from energy sources in Alaska. Just amazing!
which is still no sense at all
Have they ever heard of the Americans With Disabilities Act?
If I have a letter from my respiratory doc about my breathing difficulties, and they won’t let me on the plane, then I will own the plane.
It is all about liability.
Exactly right. The rats will not allow tort protection because the slip and fall lawyers are among their largest contributors (along with the teacher unions). To these parasites the virus has the potential to make the tobacco money chase look like a kool aid stand.
You aint one of them there terlet lickers, now air you son?
Zackly so.
Aviation is near dead. Stupid move.
Have they ever heard of the Americans With Disabilities Act?

I think that somebody would sue Alaska Airlines because of the mask policy...Violating ADA?
Alaska Airlines is not alone in not accepting medical excuses...Some other airlines decided to do that also...
“Does the plane still recirculate the air in the cabin?”
Ending recirculating air will drive up their fuel costs by about 2%...so we’re dreaming if we think they’ll do that.
