Its no longer news that, once the Wuhan virus descended on New York City, the rich did what rich people always have down when plague appears: They packed up their goods and their money and left for comfortable country homes where they could wait out the disease.
The New Yorkers who remained in the city ranged from the upper-middle-class down to the homeless. Mayor Bill DeBlasio then had the bright idea to bring these two classes together, something thats working out about as well as you would expect. Its also a preview of coming attractions for the rest of America should Biden win the White House and Democrats take full control of Congress.

Cuomo is still sufficiently connected to reality to try to stem the outflow of the citys super-rich, who are responsible for 50% of NYCs tax base. The mayor, however, is saying the equivalent of good riddance to bad rubbish. When he says he doesnt like rich people, de Blasio isnt kidding.

DeBlob put her in charge of four taxpayer-financed govt-funded agencies that have the most potential for money-making WITH NO OVERSIGHT. The money’s coming in so fast, she can’t even go shopping.

(D) <><> Upon taking office, he gave her “The Mayor’s Fund for NYC” which receives non-stop tax dollars to “do-good” for the city (and to finance their political ambitions on he backs of taxpayers).
