There are 800000-1 million children missing in the US a year. He does not believe the stat. Have not seen good source and breakdown -—anyone got a good source???

There are 800000 children reported missing in the U.S. each year, according to ABC News. I googled "how many children are reported missing in the United States each year". Not all are actually missing; some are found after being reported.

Of the roughly 2000 per day that represents, about 115 per day are stranger abductions, where the child is abducted by someone he/she doesn't know.

Wow, over 40K a year stranger abductions. I can’t imagine there are too many good outcomes of those, such as the stranger only took the kid to get a good meal.

I can see that most of the 1 million reports of missing child might just be a mom going hysterical after an hour of the kid being missing and the kid is actually at a friend’s house playing Xbox or something and mom doesn’t know this friend to go over to the house and see. However, in some ways a million seems high given so many kids have a cell phone these days that mom can call.

But if these stats are true, isn’t it amazing so many are so upset with the ‘Rona stats and not these stats on kids?

By what factor do kids go missing that they get really sick or die from the ‘Rona?

When one takes out the numbers of elderly and really sick and frail people who died with ‘Rona who arguably might not have lasted a year anyway, how close does the death rate of the ‘Rona compare to the numbers of kids who are never found or only their dead bodies are found?

So using your numbers, only ~46,000 children per year abducted by strangers. This assumes that only strangers do nefarious things to abducted children.

Yeh, nothing to see here. Move along.
