The irony is that WE, individually, are the source of China’s economic strength. If we don’t buy their products, their strength is diminished.
I’ve been refusing to buy anything made in China for some time now and I admit it’s been troublesome. On more than one occasion, I’ve made the rounds of shops looking for a particular item but can’t find one NOT made in China. It’s been tempting to cave and buy the Chinese product, but so far I’ve been holding firm. I’m doing without some conveniences and spending WAAAY more time shopping for necessities, but it’s the only way I can express my disapproval of the things they’ve been doing economically, politically, socially and scientifically.
I had to buy my girl soccer cleats today for fall play. (Hopefully Tommy the Commie does not put the kibosh on sports this fall.) At the local DICK’s (aptly named) FACEMASKS are required by order of the governor. Ug. My children do not like when I get vocal about being herded. So it was under my chin the whole time. As I looked at all the Nike and ADIDAS and other items I wondered to myself —who can assure me that all this MADE IN CHINA CRAP does not come PRE-innoculated with covid-19? YOU ARE REQUIRING ME TO WEAR A MASK TO SHOP HERE?!?!
