I always thought the kids table was a setup. Put the kids at a card table. What table is more likely to cause a spill than a card table? One little bad move and you kick a table leg and all the drinks fall over.

The kids table was always like 10 feet from the adult table. As if the conversation at Grandma’s house was going to turn to “adult” subjects that we didn’t want the kids to hear. Not that they couldn’t hear them anyway...

Grandma’s table was about 1000 feet long, it seemed. realistically, it would seat about 12-14 adults. Pretty huge.
